Estepa is situated on the main A92 just an hours drive from Malaga International Airport.
There are various transport options available:
By Air: Although Estepa is within easy distance of Malaga, Granada and Sevilla airports, Malaga is the largest of these airports and therefore has more direct flights from the UK provided by most of the major airlines including Easyjet, Ryanair, Monarch, British Airways.
Once at Malaga Airport you can choose to get the connecting train or bus to Malaga's main train station to commence your forward journey by rail (see below), or arrange a private taxi /private vehicle hire (see list of useful contacts below).
By Sea: Ferries currently will only get you as far as the beautiful coastline fo Northern Spain (Bilbao or Santander), from there you can choose to make your way down through Spain to the Costa Del Sol on the southern coast by either car/camper/motorhome (approx 9hrs 30mins - 11hrs depending on your chosen route) or by train (approx 6hrs 45 mins plus any waiting time whist changing trains - only one change required).
By Rail: Once in Spain you will find the recently upgraded railway network very efficient and reasonably priced.
From the North:
- From Santander/Bilbao you can get a train direct to Madrid (approx 4hrs 30mins/5hrs), you will then need to change at Madrid for Puente Genil (approx 2hrs 15mins).
From the South:
- From Malaga main train station (Malaga Maria Zambrano), you can get a train directly to Puente Genil (approx 40 mins).
Once you have arrived at Puente Genil train station (this is the closest main train station to Estepa), you will then need to arrange for a private taxi to take you directly to the property (approx 10 mins).
Car Hire from inside the terminal at Malaga Airport - see www.aena-aeropuertos.es/csee/Satellite/Aeropuerto-Malaga/es/and click on "Aquiler de coches"
Car Hire from outside the terminal at Malaga Aiport - there are numerous car hire companies situated just outside the airport terminal all of which have online booking facilities via their websites which can be found by searching "Malaga airport car hire".
Airport Taxi's - there is never a shortage of taxi's queuing at Malaga airport waiting to transport you to your holiday destination (this is however the most expensive option available).
Train Station Taxi - taxi's at Puente Genil train station are not so "visible". There is a board displayed with a telephone number that you can ring and ask for a taxi (in Spanish). However, we would recommend using one of our regular taxi driver's who are all familiar with the location of the house in Estepa.
